Wallarm at Black Hat USA 2022

Black Hat USA is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and Wallarm will be on hand for the festivities. If you’re headed to Vegas this year, we invite you to meet our crew and talk about API security.

Tuesday (08/09) – Pre-Event Evening Party

Join us on Tuesday 08/09 evening at the Emerging Technology Cocktail Party for the coolest evening at Black Hat. Nine emerging tech companies are taking over not one but two clubs at Mandalay Bay for a night of drinks, conversation and fun. Join us at 1923 Prohibition Hidden Speak Easy where we are bringing the roaring 20’s with a live Jazz band or cool down from the Vegas heat at Minus5 IceBar & Club – doors open at 19:01 PM.

Pre-Register or just show up – hope to see you there!

Wednesday (08/10) – Arsenal Presentations

Keeping with the theme, we are presenting not one but two open-source tools at Black Hat Arsenal this year.

  • 10:00 AM at Station 4. Ivan and Alex will present the latest updates to GoTestWAF, the well-known open-source WAF testing tool which supports a wide range of attacks, bypassing techniques, data encoding formats, and protocols, including legacy web, REST, WebSocket, gRPC, and more. The tool now supports Swagger/OpenAPI-based scanning and becomes the first open-source testing tool available for API security solutions.
  • 16:00 PM at Station 5. Alex and Ivan will present Open-Source API Firewall, the open-source API Firewall by Wallarm is a great option for API development. It offers a rich feature set, and its underlying technology is mature. The firewall's new feature of blocklisting for compromised tokens and cookies is a great way to gain visibility into threats and prevent issues. The feature is easy to set up and offers a high degree of visibility into the security posture of your APIs and services.

We’ll be at our assigned stations for 90 minutes – so be sure to stop by to watch the walk-throughs and talk with Ivan & Alex about how you can use these tools in your environment.

Wednesday and Thursday – Wallarm Demo & Discussion Suite

And we know that Black Hat can be an intense experience. So we invite you to schedule some time to relax in our Four Seasons suite during the show to talk about your API Security needs with our experts.

Come alone or bring your team – either way, get away from the madness of the show floor, relax and grab a drink, and have a chat. Looking forward to seeing you there!
