The week will start on March 3rd with the amazing BSides event. The BSides community has continuously raised the bar and put the INFO back in INFOSEC. BSides San Francisco is a non-profit organization designed to advance the body of Information Security knowledge by providing an annual, two-day, open forum for discussion and debate for security engineers, architects, CISOs and business leaders. If you are looking to learn how API security works, how to use AI for security or how the incident response is impacted by virtualization or event to look at the job openings out there this is the event for you.
When at the event, make sure to stop by the Wallarm table to learn about new tools for DevSecOps and participate in a raffle for a drone.
On March 3rd at 3:30 pm make sure to come to Ivan Novikov talk “Bye-bye false positives, using AI to improve detection”
Ivan will talk about how to detect SQL injection and other OWASP vulnerabilities using Machine Learning to eliminate false positives.
The implementation of the presented model is already used in production at Wallarm for reducing false positive events and is also available as a part of an open-source project sponsored by Wallarm.
Probably, the most interesting part about RSA every year is learning about new ideas and getting exposed to innovation. Make sure to visit the RSA Sandbox Expo and see who are this year’s newcomers. While the company’s in Sandbox Expo are largely unproven and lack traction, some of them will go on to raise funding and leverage their intellectual property into new security solutions that will help with the areas from IOT security, to cloud security to big data. The Expo will be held on Monday, March 4. You will also be able to hear the 10 finalists give 3 minutes pitches of their wares.
